
Dr. Nancy Beerlandt
Dr. Nancy Beerlandt studied medicine at the KU Leuven. She specialised as an ophthalmologist at the UZ Leuven and also spent a specialization year at the Southampton Eye Hospital, England under the direction of Dr. C. Canning. She has been working as an ophthalmologist since 1995.
Besides her broad knowledge in general ophthalmology, Dr. Beerlandt has a special interest in the pre-segment surgery (cataract surgery) for which she followed a fellowship at the UZ Leuven from 1995 – 1997 under the direction of Prof. Dr. P. Maudgal.
She also does eyelid corrections.

Dr. Ine Deraedt
Dr. Ine Deraedt studied medicine at the KU Leuven. She specialised as an ophthalmologist at the H. Heine University in Düsseldorf and has been working as an ophthalmologist since 2003.
Dr. Deraedt has a broad knowledge of general ophthalmology, including the diagnosis and treatment of medical glaucoma. She specializes in the diagnosis and monitoring of retinal disorders of the macula with optical coherence tomography (OCT scan). She is also a member of Euretina.

Dr. Liesbet Beelen
Liesbet Beelen graduated as an orthoptist in 2000 from HIPB Sint Vincentius in Ghent. In 2000, she started working as an orthoptist at UZ Leuven, where she examined children with strabismus and/or amblyopia (lazy eye) and adults with strabismus and double vision. From 2015 onwards, she also provided support to the glaucoma clinic in the hospital. From 2002 to 2007, she was part-time committed to the educational program of orthoptics as a lecturer to Sint Vincentius College in Ghent.
She is specialized in the orthoptic examination and treatment of eye coordination, strabismus, amblyopia (“lazy eye”), and diplopia. She also supports the consultation of the ophthalmologists by performing technical examinations (refraction, OCT scan, etc.).
